Ginter Park Baptist Church has a long history of rich and meaningful Sunday morning Bible study classes for people of all ages.  This history continues as we offer classes on Sunday morning as well as other regular opportunities for spiritual formation.

Sunday Morning Activities

Bible Study

We offer the following classes which meet Sunday mornings from 9-10am –

Classes for Adults:

  • Living the Faith – This class uses a book to guide study and discussion.
  • Wellspring – This traditional style class will stick to the familiar Baptist Sunday school model.  Using the Smyth & Helwys curriculum,Formations, this class is lecture and discussion oriented.  Each participant uses a “Learner’s Study Guide” to prepare for class by doing individual reflection.
  • Think Tank – This is Bible Study with an academic twist.  Taught by professors of Hebrew & New Testament, the class lesson is guided by their expertise.  They teach on the scripture presented in worship each Sunday (typically following the lectionary).  It is informal, informative, conversational, and includes lively discussion.

Classes for Children and Youth

Thursday Activities

Our longtime tradition of excellent Bible study continues in this mid-week gathering.  Don Polaski, Professor at Randolph Macon College and Hebrew & Old Testament scholar, teaches this class which also spends time enjoying coffee, snacks, fellowship, and a time of prayer.  The Bible Study class meets Thursdays from 10-11:30am.  This group is open to all!
