In lieu of honoring a loved one with a poinsettia as is tradition in many churches at Christmas, our tradition is to honor and remember family and friends by making a donation for books to be given to our Weekend Backpack Ministry children.
There are 25 students who will receive a grade-appropriate book in their backpacks on the last day of school before Christmas break. You are invited to make donations anonymously or in memory/honor of a loved one. A list of tributes will be included in our worship guide, and all donors will once again receive a specially designed ornament as an acknowledgment.
Donations can be $5, $10, $15, $20…any amount you would like to give to this mission project! Based on last year’s purchase, it will take approximately $200-250 to purchase the 25 books.
Please complete the form below no later than December 14 so we can prepare the tribute list and ornaments. Ornaments will ready to be distributed on December 19 at the diaper drive-thru drop-off (other arrangements can also be made to get your ornament(s) to you!) Money will gladly be received through December 21.
