Join us as we gather on Zoom for a Maundy Thursday worship service remembering the last evening Jesus spent with his disciples. Celebrating communion, reading Scripture, music, and extinguishing the Tenebrae candles as we read the passion narrative are core elements of this time of worship.
To prepare for the service, please gather 6 candles or other light sources, along with bread and drink to represent for you the body and blood of Christ. During the service we will extinguish the light sources in turn, leaving one lit to represent the light that always shines in the darkness and which the darkness cannot ultimately overcome.
Please Note: To reflect the solemnity of the service, all participants will be muted as they join. Those who volunteer to read scripture will need to make sure they are unmuted before beginning.
