Many Christians pray the Lord’s Prayer on a daily or weekly basis. It is perhaps one of the most prayed prayers of all time! The danger of familiarity, however, is that the words of the prayer simply become rote for many of us. Does a prayer mean—or do—anything if we utter the words automatically, without any sense of the significance they possess?

In this special summer Zoom series, we will invite a diverse group of scholars to share different perspectives on the Lord’s Prayer to help us see new layers of meaning, so that we can approach the prayer with new intention. Our hope is that when we do pray this prayer again, we will be empowered to pray it in a way that is transformational once again—just as it surely was for Jesus’s earliest followers!

We are delighted to offer this series as a partnership between Ginter Park and Williamsburg Baptist Church.

We really would love for you to join us! Let Chris (revchriscrowley@gmail.com) know if you have any questions.
